Erling Haaland grabbed his 22nd goal of the season on Tuesday night but it was a special strike for another reason.

Manchester City were staring down the barrel of a second consecutive draw and were at risk of squandering their game in hand against a stubborn Brentford until Haaland struck late on.

The Norwegian sensation pounced on a slip from Kristoffer Ajer to race through on goal and find the back of the net.

The goal secured a crucial three points for City and has moved Pep Guardiola’s side back to within a point of Premier League leaders Liverpool.

It was also the reaching of yet another impressive milestone for Haaland.

Erling Haaland’s latest achievement

Haaland hadn’t managed to score against Brentford last season but in his third outing against the Bees, he finally managed to breach their goal.

With that, the 23-year-old has now scored against all 22 Premier League teams he has faced so far at City.

Haaland could improve on the incredible stat further should he play and score against Luton Town when the two sides face off again in the league in April.

Another incredible record even Sergio Aguero didn’t get

It shows just how sensational Haaland has been since he joined City that, in just over 18 months, he has already scored against every Premier League team he has faced.

It’s an unprecedented level of scoring which makes Haaland stand out as already one of the best strikers the country has ever seen.

He has a remarkable 74 goals in just 81 games and you wouldn’t put it past him reaching 100 before the season concludes.

Even the best strikers may never get close to scoring against every team and it will at the very least take them much longer to do it.

Sergio Aguero came close in his trophy-laden decade at the Etihad Stadium but he was never able to seal the deal.

In fact, the legendary Argentine scored against 32 of the 33 Premier League teams he came up against. The only one eluding him being Bolton Wanderers.
