Erling Haaland has enjoyed a memorable first season at Manchester City – and the goal machine has now named his favourite for the club so far.
The Norwegian signed for City last year to major hype following his remarkable goalscoring exploits at Molde and Borussia Dortmund.

City fans had gotten used to watching their team play without an out-and-out number nine.
Pep Guardiola had plenty of success despite this.
But every now and then there would be games where City just lacked that killer in front of goal.
Well now they have one in Haaland – and the man has been simply frightening this season.
It’s 52 goals and counting for the 22-year-old, who has been breaking records left, right and centre.
Everyone knew he would score goals in this team, given the amount of chances per game it creates. But few probably saw this kind of output coming in his first season in English football.
He has made the Premier League his playground, and Haaland has been reflecting on his extraordinary campaign.

He was speaking to Optus Sport and was asked at one point for his favourite goal in City colours so far.
There are so many good ones to choose from. But City fans will not be surprised to learn that he plumped for his sensational bicycle kick against Southampton.
He said: “I’ve scored some nice goals but I think I have to say (the one) against Southampton. The bicycle kick, it was a really nice one.”
Jack Grealish clipped the ball into him at the back post after he had peeled away to make space.
He then acrobatically converted past former City prospect Gavin Bazunu. After the game, Pep Guardiola branded the goal ‘amazing’.
Erling Haaland goal for Manchester City against Southampton was stunning display of athleticism
It is little wonder the goal against Southampton is Haaland’s favourite so far. It is likely most fans’ favourite from him as well.
Haaland converting that chance was an absolute sight to behold.

His athleticism is out of this world, and is a trait of Haaland’s that former Arsenal striker Liam Brady recently branded ’10/10′.
He scored a goal for Borussia Dortmund against Schalke 04 in February 2021 that wasn’t too dissimilar.
It was simply a world-class goal, from a world-class player.
