Jack Grealish has been left out of Manchester City’s squad for the FIFA Club World Cup.

Manchester City are ready to sell Grealish but they are willing to hand him the entirety of the summer to pick his next destination.

After playing a crucial role in City’s treble triumph in 2023, it seemed like the Englishman could go from strength to strength.

But Grealish is prepared to leave Manchester City in the summer as well as since he won the treble, the 29-year-old has become a bit-part player at the Etihad Stadium.

Erling Haaland sad about Jack Grealish’s axe from Man City’s Club World Cup squad

Grealish is close friends with Erling Haaland and perhaps an ideal world, he would like to prolong his time at City.

But Pep Guardiola does not seem to fancy the former Aston Villa winger anymore, whose stock has plummeted in the past two seasons.

However, being pally with Jack Grealish, Haaland took to Snapchat to express his sadness about his friend being excluded from Manchester City’s squad for the Club World Cup.

The Norwegian captioned a selfie of his on his flight to the United States, which read: “Jack Grealish, where are you”, followed by an ‘upset emoji.’

Haaland and Jack Grealish’s record at Man City

Haaland and Grealish have played 84 games in tandem at Manchester City.

During their time together at the Etihad Stadium, the pair have won 54, lost 14 and drawn 13 out of 84 matches.

Haaland has assisted one of Grealish’s goals while the latter has set up five of the former’s.

Naturally, the pair have struck a strong bond after playing for three seasons together, as is reflected by the star striker’s admission about his teammate’s exclusion from City’s roster for their upcoming tournament.
