After Manchester City’s latest 2-1 defeat against Brighton & Hove Albion, Hugo Viana’s focus will shift towards moving players on during transfer deadline day.

Tottenham are the frontrunners to sign Manuel Akanji.

Ederson accepted Fenerbahce’s proposal as he is on the verge of leaving City.

However, as Manchester City News revealed, Ederson was keen to leave Pep Guardiola’s side and kickstart a new adventure.

Ederson agrees deal to join Fenerbahce

Ederson signed for City in 2017 and since then, he has been one of their most important players.

However, even last summer, the six-time Premier League winner’s future was uncertain before he decided to stay at the Etihad Stadium.

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Ederson, who Alisson Becker called “top” has verbally agreed to join Fenerbahce, using his signature “here we go” catchphrase to signify the move is close to completion.

Romano also mentioned that the fee is set to be €13 million (£11.2 million) to €14 million (£12.1 million) as personal terms have been agreed with the goalkeeper’s agent Jorge Mendes and club director Devin Ozek.

The Italian journalist has also provided an update surrounding Gianluigi Donnarumma’s potential move to Manchester City.

What Man City are preparing for to seal Gianluigi Donnarumma deal

Manchester City have prepared for Donnarumma’s medical as Ederson closes in on a switch to Fenerbahce.

PSG expect Donnarumma to sign for Manchester City as he looks like the heir apparent to the former Benfica shotstopper.

James Trafford has to embrace the competition that the Italian could bring after his latest masterclass against Brighton.
