Nathan Ake has now heaped praise on Jeremy Doku after his Man of the Match performance for Manchester City against Bournemouth.
The Dutchman made the comments when speaking to Manchester City’s official website after the 6-1 win.
So, what did Nathan Ake say about Jeremy Doku? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, the Netherlands international couldn’t speak highly enough of the Belgium international after the resounding win against Bournemouth.
Ake said: “Jeremy was fantastic. He was brilliant. Sometimes you need individual quality to open up the game and he did that. He was fantastic.
“His personality, he works hard, he’s a good guy and he gets on with everyone. He’s not shy to show his abilities, he wants to take everyone on even in training. He’s so difficult to mark and he’s going to be important this season.”

Doku certainly was fantastic against Bournemouth.
The 21-year-old became the youngest player in Premier League history to record five goal involvements in a single game, as well as the youngest footballer to provide four assists in the Premier League fixture.
Make no mistake about it – Bournemouth will be having nightmares about Doku for at least the next week.
In addition to Doku, Ake deserves credit after Manchester City 6-1 Bournemouth
Doku will grab the headlines – deservedly so – but Ake should also be praised for his performance against Bournemouth.
The Manchester City No.6 made four clearances against his old side – more than any of his teammates – and also registered two key passes to go with his goal, as WhoScored shows.

Ake also recorded a pass success rate of 93.8% against the Cherries, taking 79 touches of the ball and completing all three of his attempted long range passes, on an afternoon where he made things look easy at the back.
Hopefully, both the 28-year-old and Doku can maintain this exceptional standard of performance.
