Manchester City are no strangers when it comes to seeing players leave the club to start new journeys elsewhere.
Over previous transfer windows, the Citizens have seen the likes of Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus, Aymeric Laporte and Riyad Mahrez, among others, say goodbye to the Etihad Stadium on permanent deals.
Despite that, Pep Guardiola’s side have still managed to maintain their dominance in English football by becoming the first team to win four consecutive Premier League trophies in their previous season.
Now though, some behind-the-scenes information has emerged regarding one player who left the Manchester club in recent memory and what he could be in line for at this new side.

Chelsea set to reward Cole Palmer with significant pay rise
According to a recent report from The Telegraph, Chelsea are set to reward Cole Palmer with a significant pay rise in an effort to try and keep the winger at Stamford Bridge for the next 10 years.
The report also adds that Palmer is currently picking up a weekly wage of £80k-a-week but will likely be offered a new salary “to better reflect his importance and performances.”
Palmer had a dream debut at Chelsea after Man City exit
After working his way through City’s academy and making 41 senior appearances for the Blues, the winger, who Gary Lineker said is one of the best young talents in England right now, joined Chelsea last summer in a deal worth £42.5m according to BBC Sport.
In his debut season at the West London club, the 22-year-old scored 25 goals and supplied 15 assists in 45 appearances across all competitions.
Described as a “fantastic” player by Joe Cole (via BBC Sport), Palmer was not only named Chelsea’s Player of the Season but was also named Premier League Young Player of the Year, further highlighting how impressive he was last term.
Taking all of that into account, it comes as no surprise that the former City youth star is set to see his wages increase at Chelsea.
