Manchester City released footage from inside the club earlier on Tuesday, where an interesting detail was spotted – which we believe could be related to the FIFA Club World Cup.
The moment can be seen early on in Manchester City’s Inside City series – episode 446 – after 20 seconds of the clip.
So, what was spotted in Manchester City‘s video? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, Manchester City captured the moment Pep Guardiola returned to work after a brief period of absence, following emergency surgery on a back problem.
When the Spaniard walks into the shot, Manchester City’s four trophies can be seen on podiums, including the Premier League, FA Cup, UEFA Champions League and UEFA Super Cup.
Interestingly, there appears to be a fifth podium, which is empty.
MORE MAN CITY STORIES
In our view, Manchester City are saving this spot for the FIFA Club World Cup, which commences in December.

The tournament involves the winners of the UEFA Champions League going up against the holders of the Asian Champions League, the African Champions League, CONCACAF Champions Cup and the CONMEBOL Libertadores.
Of course, some might argue that this spot could have been reserved for the FA Community Shield – which was lost to Arsenal in the dying stages – although it feels unlikely that Manchester City would still keep a vacant spot for a piece of silverware that has gotten away.
Manchester City should win the FIFA Club World Cup
With all due respect to the other sides involved, Manchester City should win the FIFA Club World Cup with relative ease – if Guardiola has his best players fit and available.

The likes of Urawa Red Diamonds, Al Ahly, León, Auckland City and Al-Ittihad are nowhere near as strong as the Citizens, and it would be a real shock if the trophy did not end up at the Etihad Stadium.
If our presumption is accurate in regards to the vacant podium, Manchester City feel the same.
