Phil Foden was one of the stars of the show for Manchester City as they beat Napoli 2-0 in the Champions League.
Foden was excellent against Napoli as he assisted Erling Haaland’s goal with a sublime pass and throughout the contest, the midfielder looked like one of the hosts’ most dangerous players.
However, the Englishman was not the only Manchester City player who looked sharp at the Etihad Stadium.
Haaland, Jeremy Doku and Abdukodir Khusanov also impressed among others.

The Norwegian striker has looked like a man possessed from the get-go this season but the likes of Doku and Khusanov have plenty to prove this campaign.
The Belgian in particular will be keen to step up this term as he is in his third season at City and in fairness to Doku, he did impress against Manchester United and against Antonio Conte’s side as well.
As Doku capped off his bright showing with a tremendous solo goal against Napoli, Phil Foden claimed that he has never looked in better touch since joining Manchester City in 2023, telling TNT Sports: “He’s playing really well. I think it’s probably the best form he’s been in for us.”
“You know what Jeremy’s got to his game; unbelievable one-v-one, the strength that he has to hold up play. It’s about just slowing it down in the final third, and he’s definitely improved that with his goals and assists.”

Considering Doku raved about Foden’s quality, he would be delighted that the Manchester City attacker sang his praises after the pair stole the show against Napoli.

Doku not only scored an exceptional goal but completed three out of his four dribbles, created four chances and took 11 touches in the opposition box against Napoli.
While it is early into the season, it seems like the former Rennes wideman is well and truly coming into his own.
