Robbie Fowler has praised Manchester City striker Erling Haaland for his goalscoring ability.
The centre-forward is currently in his second season at the Manchester club after having a very successful debut campaign.
With the Norwegian chasing down another Golden Boot, one former City striker has shared his thoughts on him and how special he is.
Fowler raves over ‘phenomenal’ Haaland

Speaking in a recent interview with the club, which was shared on their website, Fowler had this to say about Haaland.
He said: “He’s been brilliant. What a goalscorer. City have played with a false number nine in the past and then he’s come in and broken every record under the sun as a goalscorer.
“You can’t not enjoy watching him. He’s a special goalscorer and he will be special for a number of years. The records he has now are phenomenal. And the frightening thing is – I don’t think he will stop!
“He’s part of an amazing team, under an amazing manager. When you think of the calibre of players at City now, it’s extraordinary.”
After scoring 86 goals in 89 appearances for Borussia Dortmund, the 23-year-old joined City in a deal worth £51m during the 2022 summer transfer window.
Since then, Haaland has found the net 81 times in 85 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side across all competitions.
In terms of the records he broke during his debut season, the Norway international became the first player to score in his first four Premier League away games, the fastest player to reach 10 top-flight goals [6 games] and the first player to score a hat-trick in three consecutive home league matches, among many other accolades he grabbed for himself.
With all of that in mind, it’s easy to see why Fowler, who knows what it takes to be a top striker, thinks so highly of Haaland and what he’s done in a fairly short period of time in a City shirt.
