Gary Neville raved over Manchester City star Kyle Walker on Monday Night Football last night.
He and Jamie Carragher were selecting their combined teams consisting of players from Manchester United (1999) and Manchester City (2023).

Walker has really impressed for City in recent months.
After warming the bench for a bit, and Pep Guardiola saying publicly that he couldn’t play the role that John Stones currently is, Walker has seriously stepped up his game.
He has looked absolutely solid operating on the right of City’s three-man defence, which becomes a four when the team loses the ball.
It’s been a brilliant response from the 32-year-old, and last night both Carragher and Neville paid tribute to him on MNF.
Carragher selected Walker in his team, before then joking that he would put Neville back in.

Neville said of Walker: “For me when I look at Kyle play.. he can do things I could never do. For instance, Mbappe in the World Cup quarter-final, Kyle really played well against him. I think I would have struggled against Mbappe badly. Just purely for pace.
“The way in which he matches Vinicius Jr, the way he matches Mbappe, it’s absolutely brilliant. I think I understood my position a bit better than Kyle in terms of where to be on the pitch. I think I would have struggled in some of these matches to be fair. Kyle is unbelievable in those matches against the best players in the world in that position at left wing.”
Manchester City star Kyle Walker does not get the credit he deserves, as Gary Neville lauds defender
It was good to hear Neville singing the praises of Walker on MNF last night. You can really tell he holds him in the highest regard.
His comments come after Danny Murphy suggested on Match of the Day 2 that he should be in the conversation as England’s greatest ever full-back.
Walker is a world-class player.

In the past people have targeted him as a weak link in City’s team.
But his game has improve massively in recent times. He’s always been great, but just lately he’s taken things to another level.
He probably still doesn’t get the credit he deserves because of who is surrounding him. But maybe once he hangs up his boots he will be more appreciated by neutral fans.
