While Manchester City slumped to a 2-1 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers away from home at Molineux Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, Arsenal beat Bournemouth 4-0 on the road.
City are still at the top of the Premier League table.
Pep Guardiola’s side have picked up 18 points from seven matches.
Arsenal are now second in the standings with 17 points from seven matches.
Manchester City fans react to defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers and win for Arsenal
The Gunners will host defending champions City at the Emirates Stadium in North London in the Premier League next weekend.
As you can see below, some City fans are really worried about the prospect of facing Arsenal next weekend.
City have now suffered back-to-back defeats.
In midweek, the Citizens, who won the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup last season, went down 1-0 to Newcastle United away from home at St. Jame’s Park in the third round of the EFL Cup.
And, today City have lost to Wolves away from home.
Manchester City fans should stay positive
I do not think that there is any reason to be worried right now.
Of course, any time Manchester City lose, it makes headlines.
That is how good and dominant City are.
Defeats to Newcastle United and Wolverhampton Wanderers are hugely disappointing.
But, I believe that City will bounce back.
I fully expect Guardiola to get his City team ready for the UEFA Champions League match against RB Leipzig on Wednesday.
And, I am confident that that City players will step up their game against Arsenal next weekend.
A defeat to the Gunners would be hugely damaging even so early in the Premier League campaign, and Guardiola and the players will be fully aware of that.
