Jack Grealish has now reacted after seeing what Aymeric Laporte – who left Manchester City in 2023 – did on Thursday night.

The 28-year-old shared his reaction on Instagram.

So, what did Aymeric Laporte do to attract the attention of Jack Grealish? Let’s take a look…

Grealish reacts as Laporte shocks Inter Miami

Well, the Spain international left Manchester City to join Al-Nassr in a £23.5m deal back in August 2023.

Laporte lined up against Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami in a friendly on Thursday night, before scoring a potential Puskas winner in the 12th minute from inside his own half.

It was an absolutely remarkable strike from a player who only ever scored 12 goals in 180 appearances for Manchester City.

After seeing the breathtaking effort, Grealish simply commented “top” on Laporte’s Instagram post, along with two applauding emojis.

Rio Ferdinand, Thibaut Courtois and also Adidas heaped praise on the defender as well after he stunned Inter Miami in Saudi Arabia.

How Laporte is getting on after Manchester City exit

It was something of a shock to see Laporte move to Al-Nassr in August, as we believe he is still one of the better central defenders across Europe, and rarely looked out of place under Pep Guardiola.

Gary Neville even believes the Agen-born defender is better than Josko Gvardiol.

Nevertheless, the 29-year-old has performed well out in Saudi Arabia alongside the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane.

Laporte has made 22 appearances in all competitions – scoring two goals while also providing one assist – as his side sit second in the Saudi Pro League.

The Al-Nassr No.27 will surely be disappointed if he fails to win the Saudi Pro League this season, with Al-Hilal currently leading by seven points.

Despite that, Laporte seems to be playing with plenty of confidence after leaving Manchester City, based on his stunning strike against Inter Miami.
