Guardiola blasts 9 Premier League clubs in fiery press-conference, defends financial charges

Man City boss Pep Guardiola has called out 9 English clubs while coming out swinging in his pre-match press conference against the Premier League charges aimed at the club.

As the Sky Blues prepare to face Aston Villa after yet another defeat away at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the Spanish tactician was in top form during the press conference.

Pep Guardiola was fiery and defended Man City, who have been accused of over 100 financial breaches, as per the latest Premier League charges against them, while namechecking 9 other teams in the Premier League, who tried to ensure they get punished during UEFA’s previous investigation in 2020.

Man City manager Pep Guardiola calls out 9 Premier League teams after defending charges

As journalists asked question after question, Man City tactician Pep Guardiola delivered a monologue for the ages to defend his side’s case against the Premier League charges, whilst not being afraid to call out the 9 clubs in question.

“Just in case, we [Man City] are not innocent, we will accept what the judge or the Premier League decide. But what happens if in the same situation that UEFA [where Man City were proven innocent in 2020] happened and we are innocent? What happens to restore or pay back our damage? Because the damage is now for one decade, 8, 9, 10 [years]”, he said.

“So, 1 week later, UEFA made a sentence against us, 9 teams; Burnley, Wolves, Leicester, Newcastle, Spurs, Arsenal, [Manchester] United, Liverpool, Chelsea [were] out of the Champions League but they wanted that position. Like Julius Caesar said, ‘in this world, there are not enemies or friends, there is just interests’”, Man City legend Pep Guardiola said whilst discussing the Premier League charges head-on, in a clip shared by Football Daily.

“And they wanted to put it out to take that position that we were on the pitch. Take it there and take it in our position.”

Well, Man City boss Pep Guardiola was not clearly not messing around when addressing the Premier League charges, and he was unafraid of the consequences of calling out the 9 other clubs.

Ultimately, it has been reported that those within the club that are as confident as Guardiola as well reportedly, which could be ominous for the Etihad faithful.
