Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola should start Jeremy Doku against Brighton & Hove Albion.
With the latest international break now out of the way, with several nations confirming their place in next year’s European Championship, club football and the Premier League returns.
Having lost their two previous league outings against Wolves and Arsenal, the Citizens are back in action tomorrow with a home clash against Brighton.
In terms of the starting XI, one player that we feel Guardiola should have in it is Doku.
Doku must start against Brighton

After scoring a goal and providing an assist off the bench in City’s 3-1 win over RB Leipzig in the Champions League, the winger was unable to have a similar impact during his 22-minute cameo in the club’s 1-0 defeat against Arsenal.
During the international break, the 21-year-old, who City paid £55m to sign during the previous summer transfer window, provided an assist in Belgium’s 3-2 win over Austria and earned himself an overall match rating of 7.9/10 from SofaScore, making him the second-highest rated player on the night.
Having then gone on to be an unused substitute for his country’s 1-1 draw against Sweden, which was ultimately abandoned, this suggests that the summer recruit, whose performance against West Ham United earlier in the season was described as “unbelievable” by Guardiola, could be fresh enough to start for City tomorrow.

With two goals and one assist to his name from seven appearances across the Premier League and Champions League, this highlights the attacking danger Doku has in him and why he could be a big threat to Brighton, especially since they have conceded 16 goals in their eight league games this season.
Therefore, this could be a game that the Belgian could really thrive in and show off his attacking quality once again, hopefully helping his side put their recent dip in form behind them and get back to winning ways.
