Tottenham Hotspur star Guglielmo Vicario has sent a message to fellow Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma amid speculation linking him to Manchester City.
It has been reported that Man City have opened talks to sign Donnarumma, who only has 11 months left on his Paris Saint-Germain contract.
Furthermore, Footmercato reported that Donnarumma is ‘very interested’ in a move to City and an agreement over personal terms would not be an issue.
The Azzurri star faces an uncertain future at PSG, having been left out of their squad to face Tottenham in the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday night.
Vicario, whose team will be up against Donnarumma’s current side at Udine’s Bluenergy Stadium, gave his thoughts on his teammate’s situation.

Guglielmo Vicario wishes Gianluigi Donnarumma the best and hopes he’s happy
Guglielmo Vicario was eager to sing Gianluigi Donnarumma’s praises, saying he has a lot of respect and admiration for him.
When it came to Donnarumma’s transfer situation, he said it is solely a matter between player and club.
However, he sought to wish the City target all the best in whatever happens, adding that he hopes he’s happy.
“He’s my captain in the national team, I have nothing but words of respect and affection for him,” Vicario told Sky Sport Italia.
“The rest is his and the club’s situation. I simply wish him the best and hope he’s happy.”
Pep Guardiola has already delivered Gianluigi Donnarumma verdict
Guardiola is a big fan of Donnarumma, praising the Italian as far back as 2017 when the goalkeeper was just 18 years old.
The Spaniard said: “Donnarumma is a top, top goalkeeper, definitely. He’s big. He has huge skill for 18 years old.
“It would depend on him and his teammates whether he played well (in the Premier League) or not but good players can play anywhere.”
