Jack Grealish has now admitted he felt concerned when Kyle Walker was being strongly linked with an exit from Manchester City over the summer.

The 28-year-old made the comments when speaking to Ben Foster for Amazon Prime.

So, what did Jack Grealish say about Kyle Walker? Let’s take a look…

What Jack Grealish said about Kyle Walker

Well, the £100m man was speaking to Foster about how close he and the Manchester City No.2 are when he made the revelation.

Grealish said: “Yeah, especially this year (he has stepped up). I am so, so close with him. We have a lot in common and we’re very good friends. I was gutted when he was getting linked (to other clubs). Not one bit (did I want him to go).”

Walker eventually signed a new contract – after admitting he came close to joining Harry Kane at Bayern Munich.

The 33-year-old has since started all 17 Premier League games for Manchester City this season, bouncing back impressively after Pep Guardiola dropped him for the UEFA Champions League final.

Walker’s new deal expires in June 2026.

Grealish and Walker could step it up a gear for Manchester City in 2024

In our view, Manchester City fans could witness the pair move into another gear in 2024 – as they aim to make Gareth Southgate’s starting XI for UEFA EURO 2024.

Both Grealish and Walker should make the squad given their vast experience, although England’s starting XI is still far from clear ahead of the tournament in Germany this summer.

Therefore, the Manchester City No.10 and his close pal should be even more motivated to do well under Guardiola in the second half of the campaign.

Hopefully, the duo can fire Manchester City to more silverware in 2024 and secure themselves a spot in England’s starting XI for UEFA EURO 2024.
