Haaland's representative discusses his City future

In an interview with MARCA, representative Rafaela Pimenta has discussed her client, Erling Haaland’s future.

Pimenta on Haaland’s future

When quizzed about whether each and every move in the Manchester City talisman’s career as well as the existence of a set career plan, she replied, “Perfectly planned career? I don’t know.”

Pimenta continued, “What I know is that it’s structured. What happens, I can’t know. Things can change. We’re clear about what we want to do.”

“When his father first arrived at the office, he looked at me and told me that the most important thing was planning, the project. He found the right site and agency because we always have a project for all players.”

“It’s a professional project, but we’re talking about variables we don’t control. With Erling [Haaland], we have had a project from the beginning and the project is working. Keep going.”

The possibilities regarding Haaland’s future

For starters, Erling Haaland is arguably at the most well-run club in world football.

With one of the greatest managers of all time at their disposal in Pep Guardiola and a squad full of superstars, things are in place for Haaland to stay at City till and beyond 2027, when his contract expires and continue to succeed.

However, Pol Ballus of the Athletic had reported that a release clause worth £175 million exists in his current deal, which is set to get activated in 2024.

As his contract winds down, the value of the release clause is expected to depreciate as well.

With only clubs outside England having the option of activating said release clause, only time will tell whether Haaland wishes to play his football in another league after his time at City draws to a close.

For the time being, it seems like Erling Haaland and Manchester City is as good as it gets.
