Huddersfield Town boss Darren Moore reserved special praise for Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden.
The 49-year-old singled Foden out (via The Athletic journalist Sam Lee) as a standout performer for the Sky Blues after his side’s 5-0 defeat at the Etihad Stadium in the FA Cup.
The Englishman scored a stunning brace to continue his rich vein of form in a City shirt.

Meanwhile, Leon Osman described the Stockport-born technician’s display against Huddersfield as “outstanding” and admitted that he likes watching him as a No.10 much more than as a wide forward.
After Manchester City brushed past Huddersfield Town, Darren Moore acknowledged the heroics produced by Phil Foden after his masterful display on Sunday.
“I thought Phil [Foden] was excellent for [Manchester] City today, at times he was unplayable. Some of the areas he operates in, he’s got no right to operate in but he does, such is the level he plays at”, he said, as quoted by journalist Sam Lee.

Huddersfield manager Darren Moore, like any and every one in attendance, was taken aback by the brilliance of Phil Foden, who is revelling in a more central position for Manchester City.
The 23-year-old opened the scoring in style, getting on the end of a cutback from Julian Alvarez to slot the ball past a hapless Lee Nicholls.
Foden’s second goal of the day was impeccably taken as well, as he struck the ball first-time to cap off yet another sumptuous display.
Aside from his goals, Phil Foden was heavily involved in the lead-up to Julian Alvarez’s strike with a delightful pass to Matheus Nunes.
While several of his teammates seemed to take time before getting into the groove, the decorated attacker is a man in form and as soon as he started to get more touches of the ball, his side began wreaking havoc.
