Don Hutchison has said that Manchester City defender Kyle Walker will go down as the greatest right-back in Premier League history.
The well-known tweeted on Wednesday when giving his two cents on the £50 million (Guardian) man.
It’s safe to say that Don Hutchison believes Kyle Walker is a once-in-a-generation defender.
Don Hutchison says Kyle Walker will go down as the greatest right-back in Premier League history
Branded as an ‘elite performer’ by The Athletic, the 33-year-old is regarded by many as the best right-back to have ever graced the Premier League already.
Especially after keeping the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr. quiet last season, many felt that it was time that the Englishman, branded as ‘irreplaceable’ by Pep Guardiola was considered the absolute greatest.
Now, Don Hutchison believes the same about Manchester City legend Kyle Walker in due course.

“Did Kyle Walker 10 years ago think he could play as an inverted full-back? Now, he will go down as the best right-back the Prem [Premier League] has ever seen”, he said.
Kyle Walker is already the top dog
While Don Hutchison emphasised that Kyle Walker will go down as the Premier League’s best-ever right-back, the counter to that is why he should not be considered as the standout already?
In terms of silverware, Walker has won it all at club level and that too in arguably the greatest English team of all time.
From a pure defensive perspective, it is hard to name a single right-back to have played in the Premier League who is better than Walker in this respect.
Going forward, sure, a name like Trent Alexander-Arnold spring to mind.
But at Tottenham, Kyle Walker was easily the league’s best attacking right-back.
And under Pep Guardiola, the Sheffield-born defender has simply been asked to adapt his game, which he has without breaking a sweat.
Be it as a centre-back out of possession in a back three or in an inverted role, Walker has been constantly shifted around, as he has proven time and again how tactically malleable he is.
