Pedri has hailed Julian Alvarez, who has propelled himself as one of the best strikers in the world since making his way to the Etihad Stadium.
The 21-year-old had his say about Alvarez while speaking to Ibai Llanos during a recent Twitch stream.
Since becoming a Manchester City player, the Argentine has more or less completed football, having won the treble, the World Cup as well as the UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup this season.
Pedri raves about Manchester City striker Julian Alvarez
The 23-year-old has also been one of City’s best players this season, with a total of 12 goals and nine assists to his name across competitions such as the Premier League, Champions League and the Club World Cup.
Be it playing as a traditional frontman or as an attacking midfielder, the £100,000-a-week (Sport Rac) man has adapted to Pep Guardiola’s varying demands.
Barcelona’s Pedri has clearly taken note of the progress made by Julian Alvarez at the highest level.

“Julian Alvarez is also playing very well, “the spider” [Alvarez is popularly nicknamed La Arana, which translates to “the spider” in Spanish], he’s a very good player”, he told Twitch streamer, Ibai Llanos.
Julian Alvarez should be buzzing with the praise from the Barcelona maestro
Considering Pedri is already one of the best midfielders in the world at such a young age, the fact that he recognises the brilliance of Julian Alvarez should flatter him.
While fans tend to showcase their appreciation towards players, it must be a special feeling to be hailed by a fellow professional and that too, one who is also a special young talent.
The former River Plate goalscorer has given supporters, pundits, ex-players and his teammates for both club and country plenty of reasons to sing his praises.
As a result, Julian Alvarez is deserving of such high praise.
But even so, Pedri certainly knows what it takes to be a young superstar with the world at his feet and it must be music to the Manchester City hitman’s ears to hear such kind words about him from such a top player.
