Journalist Andy Brassell has said that Aymeric Laporte will look to leave Manchester City this summer for a specific reason.
The defender recently became a treble winner with the Citizens at the end of his sixth season at the Etihad Stadium since arriving from Athletic Bilbao back in January 2018.
Now, one journalist has suggested the Spaniard could be bringing an end to his time with Pep Guardiola’s side and follow Ilkay Gundogan out the door.
Journalist says Laporte is ‘unhappy’ at City

Speaking on talkSPORT, Brassell said this about Laporte and his current situation at the Manchester club.
He said: “Aymeric Laporte will probably go this summer because he’s been pretty unhappy about the time that he’s had or not had.”
Last season saw the 29-year-old feature in just 24 games for City across all competitions, starting just 11 of the club’s 38 Premier League matches against the likes of Leicester City, Wolves, Leeds United and Everton among others.
With Ruben Dias (26), John Stones (23), Nathan Ake (26) and Manuel Akanji (29) making more league appearances than the Spain international last season, it’s clear that he has found himself at the bottom of the pecking order.

This backs up why the player may not be happy with his playing time at the club and could look to join a new side where he’d be a regular starter.
Also, with the Citizens reportedly in talks to sign RB Leipzig defender, Josko Gvardiol, this potential arrival could hamper Laporte’s playing time even further.
Therefore, if the club are open to allowing the centre-back to leave this summer and if a suitable offer came in for him, we feel that this would be an ideal time for him to start a new chapter elsewhere.
