Pep Guardiola has now said that there is no chance that Manchester City complete a transfer for Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain.
As relayed by Fabrizio Romano, this revelation comes after it was reported five days ago that City had ‘cooled talk’ of signing the £165 million (Sky Sports) man.
While many still believed Manchester City could end up being a potential destination for Kylian Mbappe, Pep Guardiola has ruled out any such possibility.
Pep Guardiola rules out Kylian Mbappe to Manchester City transfer
Branded as ‘elite’ by SPORTbible, the French superstar has admitted to have sent a letter to PSG, reminding them that he has never had any intentions of extending his contract beyond 2024.
As a result, the race to sign one of the world’s best players is heating up, as the Ligue 1 champions may be forced to sell him this summer in order to lose him on a free transfer next year.
However, Pep Guardiola has clarified that there is no world where Kylian Mbappe becomes a Manchester City player after leaving PSG.’

“We will not sign Kylian Mbappe, he’s not joining Man City; all of you know where he wants to go.”
A deal for Kylian Mbappe has never seemed likely
With the likes of Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne and Jack Grealish being some of the Premier League’s biggest earners, it would be virtually impossible to sign potentially the highest-paid player in the world for the treble winners.
While the prospect of Kylian Mbappe in a Manchester City shirt is an exciting one, Pep Guardiola is right to have admitted that a transfer does not belong in the realms of possibility.
To add to that, one of football’s worst kept secrets is that Mbappe is pining for a move to Real Madrid to fulfil his childhood dream.
As a result, the likely outcomes when it comes to his future is that either the World Cup winner stays at PSG and joins the club in 2024 or makes a blockbuster move in the summer itself.
