‘He’s the best’: Jordan Pickford says nobody comes close to ‘irreplaceable’ £50m Man City player in the world

Jordan Pickford has lavished praise on to Manchester City right-back and England teammate Kyle Walker.

As quoted by the Express, the Everton goalkeeper gave his two cents on the £50 million (Guardian) man after his equaliser for the Three Lions in their 1-1 draw against Ukraine.

Branded as ‘irreplaceable’ by Pep Guardiola, the 33-year-old continues to be a mainstay for both club and country.

Despite Rico Lewis’ emergence at City and the likes of Reece James, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Kieran Trippier offering him stiff competition at England, the treble-winner continues to be a regular starter.

Now, Jordan Pickford has lauded Kyle Walker, saying, “He’s the best right-back in the world for me and he has got to be the quickest player in the world, hasn’t he? There is no doubt.”

The Toffees No.1 also pinpointed why Walker’s presence is so key at international level, revealing, “His pace against Mykhaylo Mudryk, who is absolutely rapid, games against Kylian Mbappe, his defensive stuff as well. And now, he is 33, he has got that experienced head and he has been at City winning those titles. He’s won everything. He’s done his career, he helps us as players. But the experience side of him is really good to work with.”

Jordan Pickford certainly makes a point and despite the fact that Kyle Walker is not getting any younger, he is such a key presence both on and off the pitch.

Both for England and Manchester City, Walker can be relied upon to be keep any and every winger in the world quiet and that too in a high-stakes game.

To add to that, the ex-Tottenham defender has the experience of having won five Premier League titles amongst a number of trophies.

While Kyle Walker is also a part of the leadership group for both teams, which is why his presence as a leader remains crucial.
