Manchester City finally got back to winning ways this past week and will be aiming to keep on track when they face Crystal Palace.

It’s been a tough month for Manchester City as they endured their worst run of results since Pep Guardiola took charge of the club in 2016.

The crisis was mercifully paused on Wednesday when the Blues ran out comfortable 3-0 winners over high-flying Nottingham Forest.

Next up, the Blues will travel to lowly Crystal Palace and here is everything you need to know about the fixture.

Unfortunately, the game has not been selected for broadcast in the UK and will be subject to the country’s 3 pm blackout rule. It will not be available on any TV channel.

As a result, there are also no live streams of the match in the UK but radio commentary will be available on BBC Radio Manchester and the club’s own webstie.

Crystal Palace vs Manchester City team news

City will definitely be without six players for the game, with Phil Foden, Mateo Kovacic and John Stones still sidelined while Rodri and Oscar Bobb are long-term absences.

Joining them in the treatment room is Nathan Ake, with the Dutch defender set for more missed matches due to another hamstring strain.

Guardiola hasn’t yet given up hope on Manuel Akanji being fit enough to play but he is a big doubt.

“Nathan is out,” Guardiola said in his pre-match press conference. “Manu we will see.”

On Foden, Guardiola added that he is “not ready” to return to the squad after missing Wednesday’s game.

Prediction

Though City are perilously short on defensive options and have struggled against Palace in the past, they should be able to get the win without much issue on Saturday.

The Eagles have had a terrible start to the season, having won just one game, and City should have the quality to beat them handily.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 0-2 Manchester City.
