Manchester City’s dark days are continuing and facing off against Nottingham Forest is no longer as easy as it once was.
After Sunday’s meek and bleak surrender to Liverpool, Manchester City have now gone seven games without a win in the worst run of Pep Guardiola’s career by far.
It was a dreadful performance from start to finish at Anfield and the Blues desperately need to pick themselves up for a quick turnaround this week.
City welcome Nottingham Forest to the Etihad Stadium, a side that actually sits just one place and one point behind them in the table.
With an 11-point gap already looking insurmountable in the Premier League title race, if City don’t get back to winning ways soon then it could be over before the turn of the year.
Here is everything you need to know about the fixture.

Manchester City vs Nottingham Forest team news
City will remain without John Stones for the match due to an issue with his feet, Guardiola revealed.
The manager said: “No, not close [to coming back]. Still is injured, has a problem with his feet.”
There was some better news, though, as Kevin De Bruyne is nearing a return to full fitness. Guardiola added on the Belgian: “Closer and even better. Last few days he’s even better.”
Mateo Kovacic, Rodri and Oscar Bobb are still out as well.
Forest, meanwhile, are relatively unscathed and will only be without two players, Ibrahim Sangare and Danilo, for the match.

Prediction
City have become impossible to predict at the moment. You’d think the run without a win must come to an end at some point but the longer it continues the worse City look.
The five successive defeats and draw with Feyenoord were very bad but at least they managed to score in those games and looked good for a bit. Against Liverpool they were completely atrocious.
They’re in a deep hole and it’s now easy to see that continuing.
Prediction: City 1-1 Nottingham Forest.
