Erling Haaland bagged a spectacular brace while Phil Foden, John Stones and the impressive Matheus Nunes all got on the scoresheet.
Next up for Pep Guardiola’s side is lowly Southampton, who have just one point to their name so far after returning to the Premier League.
With Liverpool not in action until Sunday afternoon, the Blues have the chance to go to the top of the table with a victory.

Guardiola maintained City would not be welcoming any of their injured players back for Saturday’s game, with Kevin De Bruyne, Kyle Walker, Jack Grealish and Jeremy Doku not fit to return.
“No, not yet,” he said on Walker and De Bruyne before being pressed more for an update on the Belgian.
“I don’t know. Of course, I’d prefer to have all the squad but it is what it is. Hopefully, he comes back soon. I would like to tell you but I don’t know.”
When asked about Doku and Grealish, the manager simply replied: “No.”

Prediction
