Roy Keane has shared how much he admires watching Manchester City play.
After seeing Pep Guardiola’s side pick up a 3-1 victory in their recent Champions League match against Copenhagen away, this led to a certain group of pundits sharing their thoughts on whether City’s dominance have made their European games boring to watch.
However, one big-name pundit ended up defending City against these particular accusations.
Keane says City aren’t boring to watch

Speaking in a recent episode of Stick To Football, Keane had this to say when discussing if City are boring to watch.
He said: “I certainly wouldn’t agree when fans say that about City [that they are boring]. They are very technical.
“The stats were unbelievable the other night, I know they were away from home against Copenhagen but they beat United.
“I admire that, I admire when a team can dominate that much, the players, their style. I like their style of play. I like it because of the brilliance of it. I would give City the thumbs up, honestly.”
Looking back over Tuesday’s win in Copenhagen, the away side ended the game with 79% possession and racked up 27 shots at goal, 13 of which were on target.
So while it was certainly a one-sided affair, it seems odd to call an attack-minded team like City boring.
In fact, looking over the entire competition so far, the Citizens have racked up more shots at goal (156), shots on target (61), shot-creating actions (292) and goal-creating actions (41) than any other side to have featured in this season’s tournament.
This further highlights how much attacking action there usually is in City’s Champions League matches, which is surely what people want to see.
While no one at City should be concerned with how certain pundits view their style of play or how they still struggle to come to terms with how good this team is, it’s still nice to hear Keane appreciating what he sees from them on the pitch.
