Manchester City defender Ruben Dias has piled praise on his teammate Bernardo Silva.
The midfielder has missed City’s last two matches due to illness, and fans are hopeful he will be back in action today against Sheffield United.
City won both the games Bernardo was not available for.
But it will be a major boost if he is back in the team today.
Because Bernardo is simply one of the best footballers on the planet.
And one of the biggest reasons for this is because of how versatile he is – something Dias has acknowledged.

Ruben Dias in awe of Manchester City star Bernardo Silva
Dias has been speaking with the club’s official website about his compatriot.
In the defender’s eyes, Bernardo is simply one of the best in the world because of how good he is in so many different roles.

He said: “I consider him to be a person who has a very good understanding of football and his own game.
“But with Bernardo I think this is taken to a new level, due to his ability to play in any position on the pitch, and to be able to know exactly what to do.
“I think that this is related to how he is able to understand the game, to have total confidence in completely different positions.
“There were moments last season where he went from right wing to left back.
“I think this is an ability that very few people have in the world of football.
“I am impressed by this as anyone, so I think to have that ‘super intelligence’ of the game would be no bad thing.”
Ahead of today’s game with Sheffield United, City assistant manager Juanma Lillo also hailed Bernardo.
Bernardo Silva staying is major boost for Man City
Bernardo staying at City is probably one of the best bits of business the club has done this summer.
At one stage, it looked as though £43 million star might leave.

But he’s now penned a contract extension at the club, which is just tremendous news. Even if there may be a release clause.
Bernardo is one of the best players in the world and Pep Guardiola will be delighted to count on him for another season.
