Matheus Nunes has shared what he noticed about seeing former Manchester City midfielder, Fernandinho, on the pitch.
The Portuguese international joined City towards the end of the recent summer transfer window from Wolves for £53m to try and help them win a fourth Premier League title in a row.
Now though, the 25-year-old has shared some insight into what he thought about a former City star who knew what it took to be a league champion.
Nunes highlights Fernandinho attributes

Speaking in a recent video published on the club’s official YouTube channel, Nunes had this to say about Fernandinho.
He said: “The balance that he would give the team, also leadership. He was much of a leader. I could tell that everybody would respect him and follow him. Just tackles, this is too good.
During his time at City, Fernandinho made 383 appearances for the club across all competitions, scoring 26 goals, supplying 33 assists and winning five Premier League titles.

His final season at the Etihad Stadium saw the Brazilian captain Pep Guardiola’s to the league title at the end of the 2021/22 campaign.
Back in January 2021, Guardiola shared his praise for the former City star and his leadership skills by labelling him as an “authentic leader” on the pitch, which backs up Nunes’ point about seeing Fernandinho as someone that his teammates look up to.
Whilst also highlighting the Brazilian’s tackling ability, if the new City midfielder can try and replicate the impact Fernandinho offered the club on and off the pitch, as well as learn from his manager and teammates, he’ll have a great chance of improving his game and becoming a top signing for the Citizens.
