Manchester City target Joshua Kimmich is now looking to hire an agent amid doubts over his future at Bayern Munich.

That is according to Christian Falk of BILD.

So, what is the latest on Manchester City target Joshua Kimmich? Let’s take a look…

Manchester City handed boost in Joshua Kimmich pursuit

Well, it was Graeme Bailey who first revealed that Manchester City are hoping to sign the Germany international – and are confident about pulling a deal off.

Kimmich is about to enter the final 18 months of his contract at Bayern Munich, and by the sounds of it, he is considering a departure from the Allianz Arena after eight years with the Bavarians.

Falk told Caught Offside: “It’s not clear what will happen with Joshua Kimmich’s future. The club is monitoring him, as he’s not putting in his best performances at the moment. Bayern want to keep him.

“Kimmich is the only player at Bayern Munich who doesn’t have an agent. Barcelona and Premier League clubs are monitoring but he’ll need an agent if he wishes to secure a transfer abroad. I have heard that he has asked around for an agent.”

Clearly – judging by Falk’s comments – the German is looking to leave Bayern Munich, or else he would surely remain satisfied to be without an agent.

The £322,927-a-week man has made 20 appearances in all competitions so far this season, scoring one goal while also providing six assists.

Manchester City must test Bayern Munich by submitting a bid

Kimmich is one of the best midfielders on the planet, so Manchester City should look to take advantage of his situation immediately by sending an offer to Bayern Munich.

Pep Guardiola could do with a new central midfielder amid doubts over the future of Kalvin Phillips, while Mateo Kovacic and Matheus Nunes are yet to truly settle in.

Therefore, a swoop for Kimmich makes sense, and would not simply be a vanity signing.

Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as the Bayern Munich No.6 could depart in 2024.
