Conor Coady lavished praise on to John Stones, as he sent him a text after Manchester City were officially crowned Premier League champions.
The former Everton centre-half was speaking about the £47.5 million (Sky Sports) on BBC 5 Live Sport’s Monday Night Club.
Conor Coady shared that after he text John Stones, he gave him the biggest possible compliment.

Now, Conor Coady has given an insight into his text to John Stones after initially singing his praises.

“I think he’s outstanding. I think he always has been. I don’t think it’s just been this last month, I’ll be honest with you. Obviously, over the years, people have given him a bit of critique. I always think he’s been outstanding.”
Conor Coady revealed the text he sent to John Stones, saying, “I text him after they won they won the Premier League. And I just said, ‘mate, you’re reinventing the game.’ And he said, ‘mate, it’s a blow though’, because next minute, I’m seeing him make runs in behind centre-backs and full-backs!”
“Then, he’s chopping back and pulling balls back. And I’m just thinking, ‘how is he managing to do all this?’ I just think he’s reinventing football.”

Conor Coady is right in letting his fellow countryman know via text just how one-of-a-kind the role he has been playing is.
Aside from rotating between centre-back and central midfield, Stones is often seen right behind the striker as well as creating overlaps down both flanks.
For a player that is supposed to be a centre-back to be deployed in such a host of areas on the pitch and for him to be doing so at such a high level is staggering to say the least.
