With City having some of the very best players in the world at their disposal, it is only natural that they are pitted against other megastars across Europe.
More often than not, players in Pep Guardiola’s team come out on top in these debates due to the quality they possess, how much they have achieved over the years and the fact their rise is expected to continue.
Endrick shares who he thinks is better: Erling Haaland or Kylian Mbappe
Football’s newest superstar, Endrick was asked which player he rates more highly out of Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe.
“Well, I think I prefer [Kylian] Mbappe”, he told ESPN UK [via TikTok].
With Mbappe expected to join Real Madrid next season, the Brazilian, who will also make his way to the Spanish capital in the following campaign was expected to side with his potential future teammate.
As a result, it would have likely sparked controversy if Endrick opted for Erling Haaland, due to being a striker like he is over Kylian Mbappe.
Endrick should study the Manchester City phenomenon’s game more than the Frenchman’s
Keeping aside the fact that Endrick seems to prefer Kylian Mbappe over Erling Haaland as a player, in our view, he should study the Norwegian’s game more closely.
Unlike Mbappe, Haaland is a number nine by trade and if the 17-year-old wishes to establish himself as one of the best goalscorers in the world, there is perhaps no better role model for him than the treble-winner.
If Endrick manages to learn how Erling Haaland manages to find room to score goals inside the box, the way he peels off defenders and manages to remain clinical, he is guaranteed to have one hell of a career.
Haaland is the complete centre-forward and one imagines that Endrick also aspires to be heralded in such terms and one of the ways of doing that is by assessing how the 23-year-old operates on the pitch.
