Pep Guardiola has claimed that Manchester City striker, Erling Haaland, is getting better every week.
The striker is in the midst of his second season at the Manchester club after having a rather successful debut campaign where he not only won the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League, but also scored 52 goals in 53 appearances across all competitions.
With the Norwegian now having the chance to add to his goals tally for this latest top-flight campaign as Nottingham Forest travel to the Etihad Stadium for their latest Premier League outing, he has found himself on the end of some positive comments from his manager.
Guardiola praises Haaland improvement

Speaking in his recent press conference ahead of this afternoon’s Premier League match against Forest, Guardiola had this to say about Haaland.
He said: “Every week is much better than the first week. He’s an important and tall figure, so getting the rhythm is always more difficult without pre-season because we went to Japan and Korea and didn’t have much time to train.
“But every week he’s better and he’s there. He’s an incredible threat. I sense when the team is playing quite good, is how many chances Erling has had. If he’s not involved in chances, then something is wrong in our process and our dynamic.
“But if we create a lot of chances and the ball is there that’s because we’re doing really good things and we need to continue. He’s always there and scoring a lot of goals, in the past and present and it’ll happen in the future.”

So far this season, the 23-year-old has scored seven goals in five Premier League appearances, providing one assist as well.
Having had more shots at goal (27) and shots on target (13) than any other player at City in the league, Haaland has the highest rate of shots per 90 minutes (5.55) and shots on target per 90 minutes (2.67) out of players currently at the club, further highlighting his deadliness in front of goal.
Even though the centre-forward set an incredibly high bar for him to reach in terms of beating his goal record from last season, he has certainly got this campaign off to a good star in that respect.
With Guardiola feeling confident that Haaland will continue to score goals for City, this should excite a lot of supporters that are eager to see their side regain the titles they won last season.
