Nedum Onuoha has shared what Kyle Walker told him after seeing Manchester City win the Champions League.
The right-back recently put pen to paper on a new contract extension, keeping him at the Manchester club until 2026.
Now though, one pundit and former City player has shared some details regarding what Walker had told him about his future after City beat Inter Milan back in June to win their first Champions League.
Onuoha shares what Walker said to him after the Champions League final

Speaking on a recent edition of Team Talks by Premier League Productions (via Sport Optus), Onuoha had this to say about Walker.
He said: “I spoke with him after they’d won the Champions League and he was loosely talking about how potentially he could be leaving and I was stunned.

“I was genuinely stunned, I said ‘you can’t leave, you are Kyle Walker of Man City, you’re the guy.’ So to have a boost and he is their captain right now, stay, that’s massive.”
Having not started the final against Inter, this could have been why the Englishman may have felt like leaving the club.

Even though he reportedly verbally agreed to join Bayern Munich over the summer, the efforts of Pep Guardiola ended up convincing Walker to stay where he is and eventually sign his contract extension.
This shows just how much the City manager values the right-back as being an important figure in his squad.
With Walker now playing every minute of action for Pep Guardiola’s side across all competitions this season ahead of this afternoon’s Premier League clash against West Ham United, donning the captain’s armband on several occasions, this further highlights how vital the 33-year-old is for the team and why seeing him potentially leave in the summer would have been a big blow for them.
Now that the full-back has pledged his future to the Citizens, this will surely be seen as a huge positive for everyone at the club.
