Troy Deeney has shared his prediction for Manchester City’s Premier League match at Liverpool.

With the Merseyside club just one point above the Citizens at the top of the table, a win for the away side would give them a big boost towards potentially winning a fourth Premier League title in a row.

Looking ahead to this blockbuster clash at Anfield, one pundit and former top-flight player has shared his verdict on how this particular contest could pan out.

In a recent video shared on his official TikTok account where he predicted the scores for all of this weekend’s Premier League fixtures, Deeney had this to say about City’s showdown with Liverpool.

He said: “See now, a couple of weeks ago, I said this is going to be an unbelievable game with both teams going at each other.

“I know [Mohamed] Salah’s back, potentially Trent’s back as well, but I think the ‘keeper being out is huge for Liverpool, I know Kelleher has done well since being in, [Diogo] Jota being out is huge.

“I think City have just started to hit form so I will say I think City win 3-1. I think both teams score but City win 3-1.”

At this stage of the season, both sides have played 27 games and won 19 of them, with City drawing five and losing three, whereas Liverpool have drawn six and lost two.

In terms of goals scored and conceded, the Blues have found the net 62 times and let 27 in, whereas the Reds have scored 64 and conceded 25.

With Liverpool having a number of first-team players out injured added onto the fact that City head into tomorrow’s game off the back of a morale-boosting win over Manchester United last weekend, it’s understandable why Deeney thinks Pep Guardiola’s side will walk away with all three points tomorrow.
