Frank Leboeuf has shared his thoughts on Manchester City’s chances of regaining the Premier League title next season.
The Citizens won their fifth Premier League title in six years towards the end of their previous campaign, where they ultimately won 28 of their 38 matches in the division.
With the treble-winners set to begin their pre-season period next week, one former top-flight player has had his say on the likelihood of seeing City lift the Premier League trophy once again next year.
Leboeuf assesses City’s title chances

Speaking in a recent video on the ESPN FC YouTube channel, Leboeuf said this when asked what sort of chance he gives City in regaining the title.
He said: “They have to be at 100% to beat any other club, so they are fantastic, but they have to fight.
“They had to fight against Arsenal to finish first, they lost some games against opponents and they really have to be spot on otherwise they are matched, that is the beauty of the Premier League, its because if you don’t give 100%, you’re going to be very badly surprised and that’s what it is.
“I would say if they play 100% every time, there is no chance for anybody, but because they’re human beings, I would say 70%, 80%.”

Having also won the FA Cup and the Champions League after their Premier League victory last season, in addition to scoring more goals (94) than any other side in the division as well as conceding the joint-fewest number of goals (33), it’s safe to say that Pep Guardiola’s side will be the favourites to win the title again next season.
In terms of what changes have happened to the squad since the season came to an end, the Citizens have seen Ilkay Gundogan wave goodbye to the club but have brought in Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea.
Moving forward, with the Manchester club presumably aiming to regain their three titles from last season and potentially go one step further and win the Carabao Cup as well, it’s undeniable that they will have a big task ahead of them and will need to make sure they perform as positively and as consistently as possible.
