Manchester City have seen numerous players feature for their countries during the recent international break.
Names such as Jack Grealish, John Stones, Ruben Dias, Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne were in action over the past week or so in the Nations League.
However, another figure from City’s squad who has been showing what he’s capable of on the international stage has found himself being hailed by one pundit and former Premier League star.

Ian Wright hails Rico Lewis
Speaking on ITV’s coverage of England’s recent game against Finland, (7:18 PM) Ian Wright had this to say about Rico Lewis prior to the match.
He said: “Him being at City and playing at the level he is at, I think that people don’t realise how good he is because he is amongst such elite (players).”
Lewis deserves Wright’s praise
Having completed the full 90 minutes in all of City’s three opening Premier League games of the season, the £25k-a-week defender found himself being called up by Lee Carsley for England’s recent games against Ireland and Finland.
After being an unused substitute against Ireland, Lewis played 90 minutes against Finland as a left-back.
In this game, the 19-year-old had 91 touches of the ball in total and was able to make two key passes and make three successful tackles in the process.
Following this match at Wembley Stadium, Jason Cundy claimed that Kyle Walker should be concerned about his future in the City team because of how good Lewis is.
So having proved himself as being very capable of playing regularly for his club and now showing England what he can do, this praise from Wright is fully deserved.
Moving forward, if the 19-year-old can continue impressing for Pep Guardiola’s side, he’ll undoubtedly find himself getting more opportunities to play for England.
