Considering how many chances Manchester City create, one would back strikers to break goalscoring records if they played at the Etihad Stadium.
The likes of Erling Haaland and Sergio Aguero, who led the line for City showcased how prolific they can be in a side that created several goalscoring opportunities for them; as they were rated as the best strikers in the Premier League during their respective spells at the club.
Haaland, despite not being as clinical as he was last season is still widely viewed as the best goalscorer in the league bar none.
However, some still feel that it is difficult to make such claims until another striker is playing in front of their cavalry of creators.
Ian Wright says Harry Kane would score 47 Premier League goals in one season for Manchester City
In the latest episode of The Overlap’s Stick To Football, Gary Neville said, “He’s [Harry Kane] 47 [Premier League goals] behind Alan Shearer. He’d need two seasons back, wouldn’t he?”
Ian Wright went on to back Harry Kane to score a staggering 47 goals in a single Premier League season if he left Bayern Munich to return to England by playing for Manchester City.

“He’s not going to come back somewhere where he’s not going to be on the end of things, one-touch finishes and all that. You don’t know what’s going to happen with [Erling] Haaland, how long he’s going to stay.”
“Imagine if Haaland left next season and Harry Kane came to Man City, he could probably do it in a season.”
Harry Kane could perhaps accomplish such a feat in two seasons
With eight games to go in the Bundesliga, Kane, who has scored 31 goals so far would have to register a brace in every game to reach 47 goals.
Returning to a superior league in the English top-flight, albeit playing for Manchester City would practically make it impossible for Harry Kane to achieve such a feat in one season, as Ian Wright reckons.
Over two seasons, the former Tottenham Hotspur striker is more than capable of doing so.
But to expect the £100 million (Sky Sports) man to do so in one season would be extremely unrealistic. Haaland holds the record for scoring the most goals in one campaign with 36 and for Kane to surpass such a tally by 11, he would have to have a season that is up there with some of the best players of all time like Messi and Ronaldo.
