Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly preparing a bid to sign Man City transfer target Bradley Barcola.
Earlier this week, it was reported that the Citizens are interested in signing the Olympique Lyon winger as they see him as a suitable replacement for the Al-Ahli-bound Riyad Mahrez.
Now though, a development has emerged that could potentially scupper City’s chances of signing the 20-year-old.
PSG preparing Barcola bid

In a recent Twitter post, journalist Fabrizio Romano had this to say on the matter.
He said: “PSG are expected to prepare opening bid for Bradley Barcola in the next days. He’s high on club’s list, as revealed. Negotiations won’t be easy with OL but deal on.”
Having made his senior debut for Lyon back in November 2021 during a 3-0 win over AC Sparta Prague, the winger has gone on to make 44 appearances for the French club across all competitions, scoring seven goals and delivering 12 assists in the process.
Last season saw the youngster start 15 of the 26 Ligue 1 games he appeared in, across which he found the net five times and supplied nine assists for his side.

His performances across those league games earned Barcola an overall season rating of 6.94/10 from WhoScored, making him the fourth-highest rated player currently at the club.
This shows how capable the 20-year-old is of playing senior football on a regular basis and being a useful attacking figure at such a young age.
It also makes it easy to see why he has the likes of City and PSG looking at him.
Moving forward, with Romano’s latest update in mind, it seems that the European champions may have to act quickly if they want to be the ones that sign Barcola this summer.
