It has been reported that Manchester City, alongside Chelsea have identified Michael Olise as a target in the summer transfer window.
This comes from Fabrizio Romano, after it was claimed on Thursday that Riyad Mahrez’s move to Al-Ahli is all but official.

Now, it seems like Manchester City have identified Michael Olise as his long-term replacement but are set to face stiff competition from Chelsea to secure his services.
Fabrizio Romano: Manchester City & Chelsea keen on Michael Olise transfer
Branded as a ‘special talent’ by former Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira via the Independent, the 21-year-old is considered as one of the best young players in the Premier League.
A natural right-winger by trade, the French U-21 international is coming off the back of an impressive campaign for Palace, registering as many as 11 assists in the league.
Now, it has been revealed that Manchester City, alongside Chelsea have shortlisted Michael Olise as a potential summer signing.
The Hammersmith-born wideman is also believed to have a release clause worth £35 million in his contract.
In addition, both the English giants are assessing the extent of the youngster’s hamstring injury, with The Athletic revealing in June that he could be out of action for as long as three months.
The signing of Michael Olise could divide opinion within the Sky Blues fanbase
If Manchester City beat Chelsea to the signing of Michael Olise, one aspect that will likely delight the club’s fanbase would be the capture of a brilliant young player.
But many would also likely question why Riyad Mahrez was replaced with a relatively raw prospect.
If the counterargument to that is to mention the fact that the right-wing market is far from its best currently, some may even claim that would it not have been more suitable to have entrusted Cole Palmer as the man to replace the Algerian?
Especially considering Palmer too is a raw, yet gifted prospect and to add to that has trained under Guardiola.
On the flipside, Olise has been there and done that at Premier League level, which could make this quite a divisive move.
