‘In training’: Jude Bellingham says one Man City player is a ‘joke’

Jude Bellingham has praised Manchester City winger Jack Grealish for one specific thing he does in training.

The two players have featured in previous international periods together, although Grealish was unavailable for England’s recent games against Ukraine and Scotland in the recent international break due to injury.

Despite that, the Real Madrid star has still shared his thoughts on the 28-year-old and one thing about what he does on the training pitch that stands out.

Speaking in a recent video from the official England YouTube channel where he and some of his international teammates reacted to their teammates’ statistics from the new EA FC 24 game, Bellingham had this to say about Grealish and his shooting.

He said: “It’s about what you show, isn’t it? In training though, his shooting is a joke but he doesn’t shoot as much in games.”

The previous Premier League campaign saw the City winger have 41 shots at goal, leaving seven other players with more attempts than him, which backs up Bellingham’s point about the former Aston Villa star not being a regular shooter in games.

15 of Grealish’s 41 shots were on target, with five being goals, which ultimately helped his side win their third Premier League title in a row and his second at the club.

Now that Bellingham, who was linked with a move to the Etihad Stadium before he ultimately made his move to Real back in June for an overall fee of £88.5m, has said that the City winger shows how much of a capable goal threat he is in training, there will surely be lots of City supporters hoping to see Grealish get on the scoresheet more often during games.
