Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has given his verdict on Chelsea star Raheem Sterling.
Guardiola has noted how Sterling has been playing for Chelsea lately.
So, what has Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola said about Chelsea attacker Raheem Sterling?
Let’s take a look.
What’s the story?
Well, Chelsea will lock horns with Manchester City at Stamford Bridge in London in the Premier League on Sunday.
Raheem Sterling is very likely to start for the home team.
Sterling is a senior figure in the Chelsea side.
The former Liverpool star, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, joined the Blues from City in the summer of 2022.
City manager Pep Guardiola has been impressed by how the £325,000-a-week (Spotrac) star has done for Mauricio Pochettino’s side lately.
The Manchester Evening News has quoted Guardiola as saying about Sterling: “He’s playing really good, back in his best moments from what I’ve seen lately.
“He always creates incredible dynamics, what he did for many years for us and part of the big successes we had.”
Raheem Sterling’s best was under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City
In my opinion, Raheem Sterling was at his best under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
I do not think that Sterling will reach those levels at Chelsea.
Yes, Sterling is 28 now and is in his prime.

But, we must note that Guardiola sold the former Liverpool player in the summer of 2022.
He was 27 at the time.
Guardiola and/or his City coaching staff must have noticed something that made them think that the team would be able to cope without Sterling.
Maybe they thought that the England international would not get any better.
City did not have Sterling in their squad last season, but they still won the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup.
Sterling was a goal machine at City.
The attacker scored 131 goals in 339 matches and won the Premier League title four times during his time at City.
The 28-year-old scored six goals and gave three assists in 23 Premier League starts for Chelsea last season.
So far this campaign, the Englishman has scored three goals and provided one assist in 10 league starts for the Blues.
