Pundit Dion Dublin has heaped praise on Julian Alvarez for his goal in Manchester City’s 2-1 defeat against Wolves.
Following on from Ruben Dias’ own goal in the first half at Molineux, the Argentine managed to get his side level by scoring a free kick in the 58th minute of the second period.
This then led to one pundit sharing his thoughts on the strike from the City star that gave his side hope they could find a positive result from the game.
Dublin hails Alvarez goal

Posted on BBC Sport’s live match tracker, Dublin said this about Alvarez’s goal.
He said: “Most of the time you want to put that in the top left-hand corner as the ‘keeper stands but he’s put it in the opposite corner put it in the near post.
“He’s gone over the wall with dip and curl and power and it has gone in that little area but the ‘keeper has no chance. Incredible quality.”
Completing the full 90 minutes, Alvarez tested Jose Sa on two occasions as well as delivering three key passes, highlighting the attacking threat he offered his side.

Having now scored three goals in seven league appearances this season and delivered four assists, it’s safe to say that the Argentina international has been a vital figure for Guardiola’s side, especially when it comes to providing goal contributions.
With all of that in mind, even though City got their first league defeat of the campaign, they can be thankful that they have someone like Alvarez who can provide moments of attacking quality like his free kick.
Moving forward, if the striker can keep playing regularly and delivering goals and assists on a consistent basis, he’ll give his side a great chance of being able to get back to winning ways and put this defeat against Wolves behind them.
