Injured Erling Haaland now gives three-word reaction after seeing Man City beat Luton without him

Manchester City are back to winning ways in the Premier League after beating Luton Town – and Erling Haaland, absent through injury today, has reacted.

Pep Guardiola’s side ran out 2-1 winners at Kenilworth Road, and had to dig deep after going behind just before half-time.

Elijah Adebayo gave Luton the lead, rising high to head home at the back post.

But City turned the game around in the second-half, with the excellent Bernardo Silva equalising with a fine strike before Jack Grealish turned in at the back post for the winner.

City got three points today without Erling Haaland, who has now reacted to his teammates getting an important win…

Haaland was unavailable for selection today due to a foot injury.

Apparently, the Norwegian has been contending with a problem for a little while, and he was unable to feature today.

But he was obviously a keen observer, and thankfully his teammates came through in his absence.

Taking to Instagram shortly after the game ended, Haaland posted the three-word message ‘Good job boys!’, along with a bicep emoji, to his 37 million followers.

City fans will now patiently wait for Haaland’s return.

Realistically, he will not play in City’s final Champions League group stage match next Wednesday, with qualification to the knockout stages as group winners already confirmed.

A job well done by City

Today was all about the result, and City managed to get the job done, and without last season’s Player of the Season too.

On paper, City had enough to beat Luton without Haaland. But obviously coming into the game, the form of the team had not been good, so this was a potential banana skin.

It wasn’t a stellar display, and Luton deserve credit for going ahead and making life difficult.

But City showed a fantastic mentality and character to get three points, and hopefully this is now the start of a long winning run.
