Nathan Ake has heaped praises on his Manchester City teammate Erling Haaland, after the striker hit two goals against Burnley on Friday night.
City are off to a winning start in the Premier League, after they eased past Vincent Kompany’s Clarets at Turf Moor.
Haaland opened the scoring inside four minutes when he turned in a great header across the box from Rodri.
He then added a second, scoring with another brilliant first-time finish after a lay off by Julian Alvarez.
Haaland bagged 52 in all competitions last season.
It was an incredible first season in England, and he definitely far surpassed expectations.
MORE MAN CITY STORIES
The challenge now for him is to get somewhere near that figure again.
But Ake, and many others, would not put it passed him…
Nathan Ake lauds Manchester City striker Erling Haaland
Ake was speaking about Haaland after the game with Burnley on Friday night.

The Dutchman has admitted that the 23-year-old still amazes the rest of the squad with his goalscoring exploits.
He said (via Daily Mail): “That is Erling! The finishes were very good, it is incredible to see. A lot of times he was also one v one and to see his strength and how we can use him is perfect for this team. We are so happy to have him.
“Every time he amazes us with the goals he scored and important ones as well. He has got this drive to for sure do that [beat 52 goals].”
Haaland certainly does have the drive.
Earlier this year, Ilkay Gundogan talked up his professionalism, revealing that Haaland was generally always the first player into Man City training.
A great start for Haaland
It was good for Haaland to quickly get off the mark.
Some have wondered whether Haaland might suffer from ‘second season syndrome’.

It will be a tall order for him to get anywhere close to the 52 goals he scored last season.
Second season syndrome is not something Steph Houghton feels will be an issue,
The most important thing though, of course, is that City are winning games and trophies
