Manchester City legend Kyle Walker raves about ‘frightening’ Jeremy Doku
After his second start against West Ham United in which he bagged a tremendous goal and stood out, Rio Ferdinand likened the Belgian international to Raheem Sterling.
Even when coming on for Bernardo Silva against Red Star Belgrade, the 21-year-old was a joy to watch, toying with defenders, constantly taking the right decisions and being a nuisance in the final threat.
Now, Kyle Walker has showered Jeremy Doku with praise, singling out his devastating pace and why that is such a worry for full-backs.

“I think you can see that in the last couple of games that he’s played, the pace is frightening. Over the first five or 10 yards as defenders, we have to try and anticipate what they’re going to do but we don’t know what they’re going to do. And when you’ve got that pace off the start of the starting block, it’s scary”, he said.
However, Kyle Walker believes Jeremy Doku has room for improvement, saying, “I think he still needs to add more to his game, and I think he will do under this manager with the coaching that he does in the style of play that we play.”
“But to have that coming off the bench today and to start matches, it’s a full-back’s worst nightmare.”
Under Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola’s guidance, considering how excellent Jeremy Doku already looks, the sky could well and truly be his limit if he continues to hone his talents over time at his new club.
