Josko Gvardiol has revealed that he has the same elite mentality as Pep Guardiola.
The Manchester City defender disclosed that just like the Catalan boss, he too is never satisfied and is always looking to better himself while speaking to The National.
Despite having won the treble last season, it seems like Pep Guardiola and Co. have not lost their appetite to make history once again.

Ultimately, the £77.6 million (Sky Sports) man did not win the titles that a majority of his teammates won during the 2022/2023 campaign.
So far, the 22-year-old has only won the FIFA Club World Cup and the UEFA Super Cup at the Etihad Stadium.
But Josko Gvardiol has claimed that much like Pep Guardiola, he has an insatiable desire to continually improve at his craft.
“The real thing is that I’m kind of that guy as well, it’s true. I know how he works, you’re just not happy with whatever you’ve done and you want more”, he told The National.
Gvardiol was quizzed about whether the Sky Blues players are up for another hunt for the league title.
“I will not tell you the secret”, he said with a chuckle.
“I said many times the season is long. We are back, of course, some injured players, but they are coming back as well, hopefully.”
“All I can say is that the league until the end is going to be very interesting and of course, we are aiming to win everything.”

Apart from signing talented players who can contribute to their success, Manchester City would likely also prioritise bringing in players like Josko Gvardiol, who align with Pep Guardiola in their shared desire for success.
At the Etihad Stadium, there is constant pressure to win silverware and as a result, players that lack the fire in their bellies that Gvardiol has would simply not be suited to playing for the club.
While players are given a season to adapt at City, not one member of the squad feels like they are not contributing to their rise and if they may be, the club tend to move them on, either on loan or permanently.
It seems like Josko Gvardiol has the right mentality for a Manchester City player, which will take him a long way as he strives to reach the top during his time at the club.
