Rio Ferdinand believes Manchester City will make history in 2023/24 by winning a fourth straight Premier League title.

City have enjoyed huge success in recent times, especially since Pep Guardiola came to the club.

And last term City won the Treble, leaving fans in dreamland.

The goal now is to try and back that up.

It will not be easy. And City have lost some key, big-game players already this summer.

But fans will be quietly confident more success awaits in 2023/24.

And in the eyes of Ferdinand, City will at least win the 2023/24 Premier League.

No side has ever won four Premier League titles in a row.

But Ferdinand believes Guardiola’s team could well achieve the feat.

Speaking on talkSPORT recently, the former Manchester United begrudgingly said: “If a team deserves praise they deserves praise. Simple as. I think they’ll do it, I’ve got to be honest.

“I do think they’ll do it. I think, knowing Pep and speaking to him on numerous occasions, I know that he’s a driven individual.

“That (fourth title in a row) will seperate them from all the other teams.”

Man City can make history and win a fourth Premier League title

City have lost important players like Ilkay Gundogan and Riyad Mahrez.

And more could yet depart like Kyle Walker, Bernardo Silva and Aymeric Laporte.

But City have signed Mateo Kovacic and will also bring in Josko Gvardiol which is an incredibly exciting signing.

It will not be easy. Teams that were way off the pace last season could come strong again, such as Liverpool and Chelsea.

Manchester United and Arsenal will also be determined to close the gap.

Winning four Premier League titles in a row has never been done before. But you would be a brave person to bet against this City team doing it under the most extraordinary manager.
