Jack Grealish has admitted Manchester City teammate Ruben Dias beat him in a game of two-touch.
This revelation may come as a surprise, considering Grealish is one of the most technically gifted players in the Premier League.
Even during his time at Aston Villa, the England international was famed for his silky dribbling and quick feet.
At Manchester City as well, the 27-year-old does not look out of place on the ball alongside his teammates on the pitch.
And the fact that such is the case speaks volumes of how skilful the much-maligned attacker is, considering the Sky Blues are known for having a wide array of technicians in their squad.
The fact that it was not one of Bernardo Silva, Kevin De Bruyne or Phil Foden to beat the Solihull-born superstar and Ruben Dias, who is in the mould of an old-school centre-back comes as a surprise.
Jack Grealish admits Manchester City teammate Ruben Dias beat him at two-touch
Jack Grealish admitted in a recent video with Manchester City’s YouTube channel that Ruben Dias defeated him in a game of two touch.
“Me and Ruben play a lot of stuff you know, usually win so…”, he joked before participating in a challenge with the club.
Ruben Dias replied, “Who won the last [game], ask him?”
Grealish conceded, “Two-touch. Don’t know how he beat me!”
Ultimately, this points to how the Portuguese defender himself is underrated from a technical point of view.
At a club like City where virtually every player is tremendous in possession, Dias’ qualities on the ball can often go underlooked.
