Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne marked his 100th appearance for Belgium last night by scoring in a 2-0 victory – and Jack Grealish reacted after the game.
Belgium played the first of two games they have before Euro 2024, defeating Montenegro.
There was a start for De Bruyne, who had not played for his country for over a year before the game. The Manchester City maestro picked up a serious hamstring injury last August, meaning he has been unable to be selected until now.
He missed the internationals in March though after picking up a knock for City.
But he was finally back last night for his country, with manager Domenico Tedesco delighted about his return.
And it was something of a special occasion for De Bruyne, who earned his 100th cap…

Belgium ran out pretty comfortable winners in the end against Montenegro.
Tedesco’s side won 2-0 at the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels, having 10 shots on target in the game and 71% possession. It was De Bruyne who actually opened the scoring on the night.
A mix-up at the back saw Montenegro nearly slip Lois Openda in, and goalkeeper Matija Sarkic had to come rushing out to get to the ball.
He could only clear as far as De Bruyne, who was around 35 yards out.
With pinpoint accuracy, De Bruyne then curled a low effort around Sarkic and another defender to find the middle of the goal.
It was a fantastic finish, and one that caught the eye of De Bruyne’s City teammate Jack Grealish.
De Bruyne marked his 100th cap and goal after the game by posting on Instagram, writing: “Scoring in my 100th game for my country in front of my lovely family. Grateful for all of it. Couldn’t have asked for a better night!”
Grealish replied ‘Goooo on son 😍🩵👏🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻’

So De Bruyne is 100 up for Belgium now, and he couldn’t really have marked it in a better way.
His finish for his goal was one most would expect him to make with the goalkeeper out in no man’s land. But it was a still a great goal nonetheless.
It was a bit of a frustrating end to the season with City for De Bruyne, who shocked a few people earlier this week as he seemingly opened the door to a move to Saudi Arabia.
Hopefully, he can now enjoy a good tournament out in Germany with his country. You would imagine this could very well be his last chance to win something at international level.
Belgium aren’t among the favourites to win Euro 2024. But while they have De Bruyne out on the pitch, you can never say never.
